STATEMENT OF FAITH

Ephesians 4:4.6 (NASB)

There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling;

one Lord, one faith, one baptism,

one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

The Trinity
We believe in the triune God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Creator of all things.

Jesus Christ
We believe that the Son of God, Jesus Christ, became incarnate, was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and is wholly God and wholly man.

The Scriptures
We believe the Bible, in its entirety, to be the inspired Word of God and the infallible rule of faith and conduct.

Sin
We believe in the universal sinfulness and guilt of fallen humanity, making it subject to God’s wrath and condemnation.

Salvation
We believe in the personal salvation of believers through the shed blood of Christ.

Judgement
We believe in the resurrection of the dead, the eternal happiness of the righteous and the eternal punishment of the wicked

Sanctification
We believe in the initial and ongoing work of sanctification as a cleansing and separation from sin and consecration to God.

Baptism in water
We believe in the baptism of believers by immersion in water as a symbolic act of witness and obedience to the command of Jesus Christ.

The Holy Spirit
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, available to all believers as an essential empowerment for Christian service, accompanied by the gifts of the Holy Spirit as demonstrated in the life of the New Testament church.

Return of Christ
We believe in the Christian’s hope – the imminent, personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Our Origins

As a result of much prayer and preparation, Skye Bible Church was established in February 1994.

The vision was of a New Testament church with the same hallmarks as the first Christian believers: fervency of prayer, unity of purpose, dedication to the gospel and dependence upon the Holy Spirit.

The people of Skye Bible Church stand firmly on the belief that Jesus Christ is as alive and relevant today as He ever has been and invite you to join them in that experience.
